Lessons from Middle School
Hey!! Just got back from the Nikao Middle School Retreat as a leader!! It was awesome!! We played some CTF and Kickball, but the main focus of the Retreat was how us as Christians are supposed to rely on each other for victory in our walk with Christ. What I took away from the trip was mostly on the second day when we did the silent hike. The path we took was rather rocky, and I used the rocks in the path as a metaphor to life. The road may be rocky, but it eventually pans out in the end. So what I believe God told me through this trip is that the road always gets better, you just have to keep walking. Isaiah 40:4 is a good example of what this means. It says "Every valley shall be raised up; every mountain and hill made low. The rough ground shall become level; the rugged places plain." What was funny about this verse is that I read after the hike. I thought to myself how amazing that is that God would inspire me to make that connection and then give me that verse. How truly blessed I am to have a God that loves me that much.
